Poking fun at OU

Admitting hypocracy, I want to note a couple of things about our friends in Norman Oklahoma. Let's visit a couple of instances:

Last year one of their star defensive lineman beats up a good friend, is kicked off the team (oh btw they also learned this wasn't his 1st offense), tries to enroll at Oregon but isn't allowed on the football team, and now he's back with OU and a Team Captain nevertheless.

One of their star defensive tackles (McGruder - don't know if he's there this year) was arrested in Knoxville his freshman year for selling drugs (weed) out of his apartment. Fulmer kicks him off the team (while he's still in jail) and he shows up the next season enrolled at OU and 2nd string.

In light of the above, Adrian Peterson's prospects look real good. Sure he hasn't been going to class. That's tiny. He's suspended from PRACTICE this week but may be allowed to play in the game. Whatever happened to "you don't practice, you don't play"? Of course, with the OU season headed downhill fast (they were AFRAID to ATTEMPT a pass against TULSA in the 2nd half last week so they didn't) as they aren't growing up too fast at the QB and WR positions. Peterson is all they have on offense - without him, this team may not be a .500 squad. They're defense will keep them in most games and might even win one or two for them.

Me thinks this is a ploy by Stoopsie to get the team's attention. He may even let them get rolled by UCLA - the worse they look prior to tu/OU, the more confident the Horns will be. Wonder how an over-confident tu team plays the Sooners? We'll see in 3 weeks.
